The Science Hill Class of 1969 celebrated their 50th reunion on Aug. 23-24. Mayor Jenny Brock issued a Mayoral Proclamation to the class as Johnson City’s Centennial Class.
“After 50 years, you come together this weekend to celebrate and share your life experiences, your hometown, your neighborhoods and the school that prepared you well for life – Science Hill High School,” Brock said.
The Class of 1969 kicked off the weekend by sharing a meal at the ‘Grill on the Hill” event held prior to Science Hill’s football game against Elizabethton. Attendees enjoyed a light brunch on Saturday morning before taking a tour of the Science Hill campus.
The reunion culminated with a dinner and party at the Johnson City Country Club on Aug. 24 where Brock presented the class with the proclamation.
