Folks in our area flooded into Tennessee’s oldest town last weekend to celebrate Jonesborough Days.
The event featured plenty of music, food, art, activities, and crafts, all set against the historic backdrop of Jonesborough’s Main Street. The event got started Friday night with the annual Kickoff Dinner at the International Storytelling Center. Saturday morning’s parade was a highlight of the event as a slew of patriotic floats wound their way down Boone Street before rounding the corner and heading up Main.
The event culminated in a fireworks show, which illuminated the clock tower above the old courthouse at 10 p.m. on Sunday.
