Local photographer Faith Johnston was among close to 300 people who turned out for Friday’s concert, and she caught much of the action. Folks were having fun listening to the band, chasing bubbles, hula hooping and just enjoying a temperate spring night in the beauty of Founders Park.
Folly Beach, S.C. based Dangermuffin had the rapt attention (well, not really) of three young ladies during the third of five “Founders After Five” concerts Friday evening. The new music series is free and set in Johnson Cityís downtown Founders Park, in the amphitheater at the parkís east end. Local Americana band My New Favorites will headline this Friday, with The Reginals closing out the series May 29, followed by a special set from ETSUís a capella group Greyscale at 8:30 p.m. Sets are at 5:45 and 7:20 p.m.
