The Millennium Center served as the venue for the Chamber of Commerce’s 104th Annual Membership Meeting on Friday, Jan. 11. Andy Dietrich, Champion Chevrolet-Cadillac, handed the gavel to Neil Poland, Mullican Flooring.

Each year, a business leader is inducted into the coveted Chamber Hall of Fame. Gary Mabrey, President/CEO of the Chamber, recognized Vince Hickam as this year’s recipient, calling attention to his longstanding leadership of the Chamber’s Foundation and as a Past Chairman of the Chamber Board in 2006.

Mr. Hickam’s theme in 2006 was “Moving Business Forward.” The announcement of the Model Mill as the headquarter location for the Chamber was the capstone of Hickam’s longstanding leadership. Hickam’s wife, Sally, and their daughters Whitney and Kayla, accepted the plaque on his behalf while he recovers from surgery.
