The Millennium Centre served as the venue for the recent Chamber of Commerce’s 102nd Annual Membership Meeting. The 49th Lieutenant Governor of the State of Tennessee, Ron Ramsey, was also honored during the event.
Joe Carr with Bank of Tennessee, passed the gavel to Kelly Price with Eastman Credit Union.
Kelly Price commented, “Starting out the year with an event of this magnitude, supported by the Chamber membership, is certainly a grand way to kick off our 102nd year.”
The Chamber’s theme for 2017 is “Collectively – WE CAN,” showcasing an ongoing trend to collaborate with others in the community to accomplish great things.
Each year, a business leader is inducted into the coveted Chamber Hall of Fame. Lauren Kenny introduced her father, Thomas C. McKee as the 40th inductee. McKee is a Senior Partner at Herndon Coleman Brading & McKee law firm and served the City of Johnson City as a member of its Board of Commissioners for twelve years, twice as Mayor. McKee also served The Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Boards, serving as Chair for The Chamber in 1996. He has served on numerous community boards and was a member of the founding Board of Directors for the Dawn of Hope.
