The Science Hill girls’ soccer team claimed a key victory last Tuesday by beating the rival Lady Indians of Dobyns-Bennett 3-1 on the road at Indian Highland Park in Kingsport.
Sydney Jordan scored two goals for Science Hill to give her team an early leg up on the Tribe in the race for the District 1-AAA regular-season crown. Lina Powell scored the go-ahead goal early in the second half before Jordan capped the scoring late in the match.
