Ridgeview earns 2nd in state sectionals

The Ridgeview volleyball team wrapped up a successful season with a 30-7 record and a runner-up finish in the TMSAA State Sectionals.

Ridgeview’s Kyleigh Bacon and Allie Davis earned spots on the all-tournament team at the sectional tournament, which was held at Anderson County High School. CONTRIBUTED

The Lady Raptors finished second in their conference and second in the area tournament, which was good enough to earn them a spot in the sectionals. Once they arrived at Anderson County High School, Ridgeview dismissed Debusk 26-24, 25-22 before handing Lake City a 25-21, 25-20 loss. Two more sweeps of Pittman Center (25-19, 25-12) and Nolichucky (25-16, 25-17) put the Lady Raptors in the finals where they settled for second place.

Allie Davis and Kyleigh Bacon were chosen to be on the All-Tournament Team.
