Large crowds braved a little early-morning rain to catch a glimpse of the Johnson City Christmas Parade last Saturday.
In its second year back after a one-year hiatus for the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance appeared to be back at or near pre-pandemic levels. Parade goers were greeted by a steady stream of floats along with the Science Hill and ETSU marching bands.
In addition to the floats sponsored by local businesses and community organizations, the Budweiser Clydesdales made an appearance at this year’s parade for the second time in recent years. The Clydesdales previously marched in the parade, but this year they traversed the parade route in style – riding in their trailer.
Santa Claus made his way to Johnson City as he does every year to help usher in the Christmas season. The Johnson City Christmas Parade is put on each year by the Blue Plum organization.
