Science Hill and David Crockett played their respective Homecoming games last Friday night, and both teams delighted their home crowds with resounding victories.

The Hilltoppers beat Jefferson County 42-8 to move to 2-3 on the season. Science Hill quarterback Connor Batchelder threw for just under 300 yards and three touchdowns to lead his team to victory. Meanwhile, the Hilltopper defense put the clamps on the Patriots as Science Hill remained tied atop the Big East standings with a 2-0 record in league play.

Down in Jonesborough, the Pioneers sprinted out to a 35-0 halftime lead, and that score held up. Like Batchelder, Crockett’s Cade Larkins engineered a potent aerial assault, throwing for 276 yards and three touchdowns. The Pioneers are now 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
