Category: General Friends of the JC Public Library Spring Book Sale

April 27, 2018

The Friends of the Johnson City Public Library are holding their annual spring book sale April 27-29 at the Johnson City Public Library. The sale runs from 10 AM-3 PM on Saturday April 28, and from 1-3 PM on Sunday, April 29. Books are priced $3 for hardbacks, $1 for paperbacks, and all-you-can fit in a tote bag for $20.  Cash or cards are accepted.

There will be a special pre-sale only for Friends of the Library from 6-8PM on Friday, April 27. Friends of the Library sustain the library with financial contributions.  It is possible to become a Friend at the sale starting at $15 for an individual or $25 for a family for a year.

The Friends of the Library are encouraging shoppers to consider other ways to use second hand books as well. Local artists Aleta Chandler and Kitty Michaels from ArtCurious will be present for part of the sale to inspire you with art ideas that can be made from books—journals, end-tables, planters, and more!

The Friends of the Library are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Johnson City Public Library. Funds donated by the Friends pay for programming and materials. Last fall’s book sale raised $3,258 for the library, 100% of which was given to the library.
