The Grandview Eagles basketball teams relished the role of host in last week’s Big 3-A middle school basketball tournament, as the boys team scored a hard-fought victory to finish third and the girls finished runner up. Arch rival Ridgeview took home the championship trophy in the girls tournament.
The girls’ final saw the Lady Raptors of Ridgeview win comfortably over the Lady Eagles. The final tally was 43-26.
On the boys’ side, the Eagles fought their way to the semifinals. Once there, the team gained a narrow victory over Rogersville. The final score in that contest was 35-32.
