Thanks to a dominant running game, D-B picked up its first win of the season when Ian Hicks rumbled into the end zone with just over a minute remaining to score the winning touchdown. AJ Stewart had a big game for Science Hill, throwing for 175 yards and one touchdown. Chris Thomas and Malik Bowman each had a TD run for the ‘Toppers, who will travel to Greeneville on Friday night.

In other action last Friday, David Crockett ran its record to 3-0 with a 55-0 drubbing of Volunteer. Cade Larkins threw for 353 yards and five touchdowns in the win. Meanwhile, Daniel Boone remained perfect by holding off Tennessee High on the road. Easton Harrell starred on both sides of the ball, rushing for over 100 yards and knocking down a potential game-winning touchdown pass on the final play of the game to preserve Boone’s 26-21 win.
