Science Hill and David Crockett faired as well as just about all the local teams in the Arby’s Classic, which meant they did not advance. Science Hill dropped their opening contest to Oak Ridge, 64-56 followed by a loss to Dobyns-Bennett 64-60.
Crockett fell in their first contest 80-52 to Christ School before losing their next game to Tabernacle Baptist (Bahamas) 74-31.
On the girls side, Science Hill was able to finish in second place at the Rock Holiday Classic in Windermere, Fl., after winning two contests to find themselves in the championship. The Lady Toppers were on the losing side of their final contest 60-51 to Lake Highland Prep (FL).
The Daniel Boone girls team dropped their first contest of the Andrew Johnson Bank Ladies Classic in Greeneville to Bradley Central 61-42 but they would go on to win three contests, including a 44-42 win over Jefferson County. On Friday, Science Hill plays at Tennessee High, while the Daniel Boone boys will visit Sullivan South on Thursday with the girls traveling to Gate City on Saturday. David Crockett will travel to Sullivan Central on Friday.
