This year 51 Johnson City school children were treated to a pizza dinner at Memorial Park Community Center before riding in limos or party buses to go shopping at Walmart.
Approximately 65 officers from six departments and agencies were on hand to shop with the children, who were each given a $150 Walmart gift card to spend. In addition to the children that went shopping, Christmas morning presents were purchased for 83 children and 30 food boxes and hams were given to the families.
