Winners of the 2016 CenturyLink Faith in the Future Awards were recognized at a luncheon event coordinated by CenturyLink and The Chamber of Commerce serving Johnson City-Jonesborough-Washington County last Thursday at The Millennium Centre.  Recipients were evaluated based on their commitment to the future of their business, their employees, their community and the region. The featured speaker was Lester Lattany, United Way of Washington County, TN.

This year’s winners are:

Entrepreneur category, Fanatics 101 – Fanatics 101 is a sportswear retail store with two locations employing  20 people.  Owner, Keddrain Bowen, strongly believes in supporting the community, his employees, and in the future growth of the area.

Non-Profit Category, Niswonger Foundation – The Niswonger Foundation follows its guiding mission to ‘create opportunities for individual and community growth through education’.  In the past fifteen years, the Foundation has been responsible for approximately $50 million dollars in support of local schools.

Healthcare Category, Franklin Woods Community Hospital – Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City is known for its clinical excellence – including “Top 100” national recognition and high patient satisfaction ratings.

Manufacturing Category, Domtar – Domtar has been in business in Kingsport for 100 years.  The company has contributed more than $5 million to the area economy in the form of land, money and labor.

Professional/Service Category, Bristol Motor Speedway – Since its establishment in 1961, Bristol Motor Speedway has partnered with the Tri-Cities community, empowering local workers, investing in the regional economy, and elevating the visibility of our area.

Technology Category, WebCoUSA Enterprises – WebCoUSA Enterprises goes above and beyond to deliver great website solutions and customer support.  They believe there is no greater accomplishment than knowing you can make a positive impact in someone’s life.

Educational Category, Northeast State at Johnson City – The foundation of Northeast State is to provide hope and faith through providing a clear pathway to a brighter, vital and prosperous future.

Retail Category, Food City – Food City is committed to serving their customers by offering low price, convenience and quality.  They are also committed to investing in our community and our future.
