A call center that provides aid to motorists has announced its presence in Johnson City and its continued efforts to bring on national partners, which could add to the 85 jobs it has created since beginning operations last October.
The Washington County Economic Development Council (WCEDC), along with Allied Dispatch Solutions officials, announced the company’s decision to locate its newest call center operations in Johnson City. The new location represents a $750,000 investment in addition to the job creation.
A subsidiary of FIMC Inc., a 40-year-old company headquartered in Sarasota, Fla., Allied Dispatch Solutions provides premium roadside and boutique call center solutions. Allied also has the roadside industry’s first dedicated consultative practice.
According to company officials, Allied’s goal is to be there at the “Moment of Truth”. With over 35 years of roadside experience and some of the industry’s top talent, Allied works to solve any needs related to towing, jumpstarts, lockouts, fuel deliveries or flat tires.
Allied’s management conducted a national search for the appropriate location before eventually choosing Johnson City. Company officials cited the community’s interest in bringing quality jobs and the overwhelming employee talent as two driving reasons behind their decision.
“Choosing Johnson City to locate our business has been a great decision,” Allied’s chairman, D. Scott Libertore, said. “Twenty four hours a day, our customers feel the impact directly when a local Customer Solution Specialist takes their call and provides a fantastic roadside experience.”

The company occupies a location within Johnson City but in Carter County, and Carter County Tomorrow Chairman Richard Tester also spoke highly of Allied’s decision to invest here.

The WCEDC, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, the Alliance for Business and Training, and the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development played key roles in the company’s decision to make Johnson City their home.
