March 5, 2018 – March 6, 2018The Johnson City Board of Education will meet in special session on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 5:00 p.m., for Policy Review (Sections Two, Five and Six) and at 6:00 p.m. in regular session, in the Board Room at Central Office, 100 East Maple Street. Special accommodations will be made for people with disabilities. Please notify us in advance with any special accommodation requests.

Storytime at The Jonesborough Library
Storytime at The Jonesborough Library

March 6, 2018 – March 7, 2018Join Miss Jaden on Tuesdays at the Jonesborough Library for storytime! Children’s Storytime is an opportunity for children and their parents to come together for stories, songs, crafts and more. Reading and singing to young children promotes language and vocabulary development. Comprehension and cognitive skills are also enhanced.
The Jonesborough Library offers toddler storytime for children 18-35 months on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. Sessions last about 20 minutes. A preschool storytime for children 3-5 years of age is offered on Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m. Sessions last about 45 minutes. Storytime dates and themes are as follows:
Tuesday, March 6th – Bugs
Tuesday, March 13th – Luck
Tuesday, March 20th – Eggs
All programs are free of charge. Pre-registration is not required. If you have any questions, please call the Jonesborough Library at 753-1800.

March 8, 2018 – March 9, 2018Just Right Book Group for kids in grades 3-5 will discuss Tumble and Blue by Cassie Beasley at the Gray Library on March 8 at 4 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided. This program is free and open to the public. For more information call (423) 477-1550.

March 10, 2018Families are invited to the Johnson City Public Library Jones Meeting Room on Saturday, March 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to build Lego creations together. No registration is required for this free program.
