Week in review: Local teams fall in football playoffs

Football season ended abruptly for the three Washington County schools who qualified for the TSSAA playoffs.

Science Hill dropped a wild 41-34 decision to Bradley Central, Daniel Boone was blanked 16-0 by Knox Central and David Crockett fell 48-21 to Knox Halls last Friday.

Jaylan Adams wrapped up a stellar career at Science Hill with 100 yards rushing while Drew Morrison added 97 yards on the ground.

With star running back Charlie Cole sitting out due to injury, senior quarterback Noah Shelton led Boone with 85 yards rushing. Meanwhile, Cade Larkins threw a pair of touchdown passes for Crockett while Devante Boozer ran for a score.
