The United Way of Washington County Tennessee joined with members of the Johnson City,

Jonesborough and Washington County community for the final report meeting of the 2016 campaign on

Dec. 15 at the Holiday Inn in Johnson City.

It was reported during the meeting that a total of $1,588,859.50 had been raised, placing the percentage of goal at 92.11%. Five of the 12 divisions had reached or exceeded their group goals.

Campaign Chair, Lindy White, reported that since that time, the results to date for the 2016 Fall

Campaign is $1,621,500 raised—94% of the $1,725,000 goal.

Mark Finucane, United Way of Washington County Tennessee Board Chair said that the holiday season is the perfect time to thank the community

“It is the perfect time to say thank you for impacting so many lives in this great community, and to take the opportunity to share with those less fortunate,” he said.

The meeting was the final report meeting of the year and allowed the group to inform the Johnson City, Jonesborough and Washington County community about the successes the campaign has had to date. The United Way has extended their fundraising efforts through Jan. 31.
