The homebuilding industry is going full tilt in our region and the Johnson City Area Home Builders Association (JCAHBA) will be featuring local homes in their first Builder’s Showcase of Homes since 2008. The free, self-guided showcase will take place two consecutive weekends, Sept. 24-25 and Oct. 1-2, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

If you are in the market for a new home, looking for a lot and quality contractor to build for you, or remodeling a kitchen, adding a room or upgrading to a new neighborhood, the ‘2016 Builder’s Showcase of Homes’ will be the place to visit.

Visitors to the showcase are free to go where and when they choose and discover designed models and custom builds, ranging from luxury show homes to affordably priced homes. They are innovative and elegant, all located in neighborhoods throughout the Johnson City, Jonesborough, Washington County areas – and they’re all for sale. Development properties with available lots to purchase that dream home are also part of the showcase.

Visitors are encouraged to plan their own personal tours to view designer homes and see what some of this area’s best craftsman builders are creating today. They may find outstanding ideas for a current home, or discover what will become their new home.

Longtime JCAHBA member and homebuilder, Tim Hicks said, “The JCAHBA is very proud to announce the 2016 Builders Showcase of Homes. It’s been eight years since we’ve brought this event and we’re honored to bring it again. We know that Johnson City has some of the finest builders in the state of Tennessee. Tri-Cities residents will see a variety of their work and skills. There will be a great selection of homes involved this year.”

Knowing just where to visit will be much easier thanks to the Showcase of Homes Magazine, free copies of which will be available at the home and development sites. The publication includes articles on each of the builders and what is trending in interior design, landscaping, kitchen and bath.

The magazine is written and designed as a useful guide for those touring the variety of homes, and includes consumer information from local advertisers and a locator map. Pick up a copy starting the week of Sept. 19 at all showcase home locations or the Johnson City Area Home Builders Association, 1001 N. Roan St., Johnson City.

The ‘Builder’s Showcase of Homes’ will include 14 homes and five developments.
