Dr. Alison Christie admitted to being humbled when Dr. Jeffery Looney, the chief of surgery at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, read off a long list of those responsible for bringing a top-of-the-line DaVinci Xi Surgical Robot to the Mountain Home Campus.
“It was humbling for me to realize how many people on a daily basis go into supporting what I do to care for the veterans,” Christie said.
Christie, who is trained to use the robot to perform surgeries, demonstrated the capabilities of the new tool during a ceremony last Friday.
