Tweetsie Trail Trek-Opening Day Run/Walk

Join thousands of your neighbors, friends and family to officially open the new Tweetsie Trail at the Opening Day Run/Walk. It’s a family-friendly run/walk on the historic route between Elizabethton and Johnson City. The Run/Walk will be followed by festivities at the new Memorial Park Community Center. Important note: On the Opening Day, the Trek is one-way only for runners and walkers, starting in Elizabethton and ending in Johnson City. Cyclists start at MPCC at noon, ride to Lions Field and return to MPCC. Other two-way “traffic” will be allowed after 3 p.m.
