Live music returning to Downtown Johnson City

Connect Downtown Johnson City announced today that live music will be returning for thirteen Friday nights to Downtown.  Fridays After 5, the free concert series formerly known as Founders After 5, is back and better than ever.

FA5 is rebranding and relocating to King Commons in 2021. This relocation will not only allow FA5 to expand but will also allow attendees to social distance. Fridays After 5 will occur most Fridays from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. from June through September.

With a wide range of genres, featuring bands from the region, Fridays After 5 is the perfect event for families, residents, and visitors of all ages. Attendees are encouraged to pick up a to-go order from their favorite downtown restaurant to enjoy with the live music on the terraced area of King Commons.

Fridays After 5 is a free event funded by local sponsorships. If your business is interested in sponsoring this season’s series or an individual night, please reach out to Lindsey Jones at jones@downtownjc.com.

The public is encouraged to follow Downtown Johnson City on Instagram, Facebook or check the website, downtownjc.com for the band line ups. Also, check the News & Neighbor for weekly ads showcasing the musicians that will perform each Friday. Artists will be released in early May.
