The Science Hill boys’ basketball team competed in the Punahou Basketball Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii, this past week.
The Hilltoppers opened the tournament with a pair of wins over Hawaiian teams before edging out San Marcos, California to advance to the title game, which was set to be played late Monday night.
The Hilltoppers used their trademark stifling defense in their march to the championship game, and also got balanced scoring. Science Hill was undefeated going into the title game against tournament host Punahou.
In between the basketball, the Hilltoppers and their families had an opportunity to relax on the beach and visit several tourist destinations, including Diamond Head State Monument. Science Hill’s players and coaches also had the opportunity to take in a college basketball game at the University of Hawaii.
