The Washington County Library has teamed up with the Jonesborough community for a second year to bring a virtual trick-or-treating alternative to the Haunts and Happenings event.
Participating businesses in Historic Jonesborough will have QR codes displayed in their windows. These codes will be changed every Wednesday through Oct. 24. Each code equals a specific prize, ranging from handfuls of candy, full-sized candy bars or digital raffle tickets for giveaways. Prize pick up will be Oct. 25-29.
In order to participate, please visit wclibrarytn.beanstack.com/reader365 and register. The Beanstack app is also available for both iOS and Android devices. Registration will last until Oct. 17.

October 16, 2021The annual Buddy Walk hosted by FRIENDS (Friends Reaching, Inspiring & Education Neighbors about Down Syndrome) will once again be held on the campus of ETSU this Saturday. The event is back to an in-person format this year after being held virtually in 2020.
The event will start in the front yard of the Center for Physical Activity, and the half-mile walk will take place on the intramural field next to the CPA. The walk is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.

First, plan to pick up a pumpkin from theJonesborough Visitors Center, located at 117 Boone Street, on Monday, Oct. 25 from 4-7 p.m. Take your pumpkin home, carve it and bring it back to the Jonesborough Visitors Center on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 4-7 p.m. or Thursday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m.-noon. During the Jack-o-Lantern Drive Thru, these pumpkins will be lit and on display along Main Street from Thursday, Oct. 28 through Sunday, Oct.31, from 6-9 p.m.

Drive-In Movie NightDrive-In Movie Night
October 29, 2021The Town of Jonesborough will host a special Drive-In Movie night, which will take place Friday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. behind the Washington County Courthouse. We will show “Disney’s Hocus Pocus”. The cost is $10 for each car, and registration information will be announced on Historic Jonesborough’s Facebook page. At check-in attendees will be refunded $10 but in JAMSA coins that can be used in most downtown shops and restaurants. Plan to arrive early to pick the perfect movie spot. Check-in will begin at 6 p.m.

October 31, 2021Everyone is invited to join Grace Fellowship Church on Sunday, October 31, 3-5pm as we host a block party, AND a drive-thru candy trail, for the whole family!
Families are invited to dress up (optional) and drive thru the GFC parking lot to receive candy and a few surprises! You can also park and stay to attend the block party, complete with live music, carnival games, prizes, cake walk, inflatables, and many more fun activities!
You also won’t want to miss the Outdoor Services on Sunday morning, Oct. 31, at 9:15 & 11am!
