Category: General Jonesborough Yarn Exchange Presents Chilling Halloween Tales

October 28, 2019

On Monday, October 28 at 7 p.m., the Jonesborough Yarn Exchange Radio Show’s performance will celebrate the Halloween season. This production will be filled with mysterious stories and eerie legends from the region.

True accounts of the macabre, straight from the pages of local history and lore include the tale of the moving China Doll on Cherokee Road, the Wampus Cat, the ghost baby of Rockvale and many more.

Also featured is another kind of harrowing story, that of surviving survival school in preparation for the Vietnam War.

Joining the cast this month as musical guests are the David Crockett High School Madrigal Singers, under the direction of Kelly Sams Davenport. This will be the fourth year the group has performed as a music guest and they will be singing a collection of songs to fit in with the Halloween theme.

Tickets for the performance are $5 and are on sale now and can be purchased online at jonesborough.com/tickets or by calling the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center at 423-753-1010. Seating is limited, and reservations are recommended. For more information, contact Jonesborough Yarn Exchange director Jules Corriere at julesc@jonesboroughtn.org or call 423-794-6320.
