The temperatures were frigid, but Daniel Boone’s football team managed to stay red-hot last Friday night at Nathan Hale Stadium.
The Trailblazers (7-4) ran their winning streak to six straight with a 32-3 victory over Knox Halls in the first round of the TSSAA Class 5A playoffs. Boone’s offensive line cleared the way for Brennan Blair, who rushed for 150 yards and three TDs in the victory. Blair added an interception return for a touchdown on defense.
The Blazers will hit the road this Friday night for a second-round matchup against South Doyle (8-3), which beat Cherokee 41-3 in the first round.
