Christian Music Broadcasters (CMB) announced last week that 88.3 WCQR in Gray is the winner of the Station of the Year Award. WCQR beat out KJTH in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and WNWC in Madison, Wisconsin.

WCQR general manager Adam McCain accepted the award on behalf of the station during the Momentum Awards Dinner on Sept. 5 in Orlando, Florida.

“We are so thankful for our listeners for their support during the last 21 years and for making WCQR one of the top Christian radio stations in the country,” McCain said.

Stations are judged on audio, digital media, and community involvement and impact. WCQR was recognized for its role in the community, most notably their partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, which provided more than 6,300 families (over 25,000 individuals) in our region a full Thanksgiving meal through Project Thanksgiving. WCQR also assists numerous ministries in our area with Community Focus, an ongoing weekly segment that highlights a local organization in our area.
