We are honored these local veterans shared their very personal accounts of their military service. Some of them have passed on but their stories will last forever. We must never forget their sacrifice. All came home with a spirit of servant leadership for their communities.
As a veteran I am honored to have interviewed and written a number of these stories over the past 20 years. I also give credit to Allen Jackson, Johnson City/Washington County Veteran’s Memorial Historian, who presented me with opportunities to interview a number of these veterans.
