9:30 pm – Kelly Wolfe, who headed up a political action committee that targeted sixth district county commissioner Mark Ferguson in the GOP primary, was defiant with Ferguson leading in the vote with 30 of 40 precincts reporting. “As of 90 minutes after polls have closed, I’m not ready to say that this thing is over,” said Wolfe. “The evidence that we saw today from the election site returns does not jive with what you’re seeing in the early vote totals. Tom Foster led that trend, which I would expect to continue through the final voting.” Ferguson at that point in the evening was the leading vote-getter in the district with 27.24% of the vote. Tom Krieger had 26.07%. Joe Grandy had received 25.63%. Foster had received 11.82%. Incumbent Gerald Sparks had received only 9.13%.
