The location has changed, but the Halloween-themed fun that has made the Dawn of Hope’s Spooktacular fundraiser such a success remains the same.

This year’s event will be held at the Johnson City Country Club on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6:30-10:30 p.m. As usual, the Spooktacular will feature live and silent auctions, a costume contest, Halloween music, dancing and a $10,000 reverse raffle event. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and sinful sweets will be available along with complimentary beer and wine furnished by Cherokee Distributing and One Stop Wine and Spirits.

This is the third year of the Spooktacular event, and Lisa Pawley – Dawn of Hope’s director of public relations and development – said she expects attendees to continue raising their game when it comes to the Halloween costumes.

“The costumes last year were amazing, and I’m really excited to see what folks come up with for this year,” Pawley said.

Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased at dawnofhope.com. Tickets for the $10,000 reverse raffle are also $50 each and can either be purchased online or at the event.

The money raised by the Spooktacular event goes to a great cause. Proceeds from this event will help fund the support services Dawn of Hope provides for folks in our area with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

“The people they’re going to be supporting are within the Tri-Cities area, their friends and neighbors,” Pawley said.
